TAPROOM STAFF
Role: Taproom Staff
Position Type: Full-time or Part-Time
Schedule: This is a full-time position. Will be primarily weeknights and weekends, but may include weekdays, daytime, and holidays. Typical schedule is Wednesday-Sunday.
Purpose: Responsible for delivering the ideal customer experience through a great environment and impeccable beer service.

Service:
- Overall service attitude is fun, personable, engaging, and appreciative
- Approachable and able to answer all questions about beer in an educated and excited manner
- Beer is stocked and prepared for service and quality is continuously assured
- Beer is served in proper, clean glasses, and delivered with quality presentation and fill
- Absent or minimal wait for service, whether at bar, till, or tables
- Bar service that is fun and expeditiously answers customers questions, and delivers service
- Table service that promptly removes empty glassware, clean tables, and frequently checks in with a fun and positive attitude
- Concerns and complaints are promptly addressed and the customer should leave the situation feeling respected and heard, regardless of the resolution

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment.Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beer styles, flavor profiles, and pairings.Serve beer responsibly while ensuring compliance with all alcohol service laws.
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience and encourage repeat visits.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Beer Service & Knowledge
- Pour draft beer with proper technique to ensure quality and presentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the brewery’s beer offerings, ingredients, and brewing process.
- Educate customers about beer styles, brewery history, and upcoming releases.
- Properly clean and maintain bar area, glassware, and bar equipment.
- Operations & Cleanliness
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Follow opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and restocking.
- Wash and sanitize glassware, tools, and surfaces regularly.
- Assist with keg changes, CO2 adjustments, and basic troubleshooting of draft systems.
- Point of Sale & Financial Responsibilities
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and register operations.
- Follow proper cash handling procedures
- Upsell merchandise, to-go beer, and events to maximize sales.
- Assist with inventory tracking and inform management of low stock items.
- Event & Marketing Support
- Promote brewery events, new releases, and merchandise to customers.
- Assist in hosting and supporting on-site events
- Engage with social media promotions when applicable.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all state and local alcohol laws, including checking IDs and refusing service when necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food and beverage handling.
- Monitor guest behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment.

Qualifications:
- Detail-oriented, highly-organized, and able to interact effectively and prospects, peers, staff, and management
- Possess an outgoing personality and the desire to provide exceptional customer service
- Convey a professional image to clientele and partners at all times
- Great problem solving skills and generates client confidence
- Excellent client relations and customer service skills
- Prompt communication
- Must be able to lift 35-50lbs
- Preferred experience in events, hospitality, communications, and leadership
- Must be 21+
- Available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Attire:
- Black cocktail attire (pants, dress shirt, skirts, dresses, tennis shoes, dress shoes) and Drekker/Brewhalla preferred attire. Two Drekker/Brewhalla preferred attire items will be provided to you free of charge at time of hire. In general, look presentable.
- All tattoos, piercings, and unnatural hair colors are allowed. Note however that excessive hanging jewelry can be dangerous in this type of service. Use discretion.
- Keep in mind that we handle beverages daily, and often food as well, so general hygiene must be maintained. Intermittent showering and application of deodorant/antiperspirant is necessary to retain a non-offensive presence to customers. Take pride in your appearance because in this line of work, people notice.
